A New Life Begins at the Railway Station

Meena from Motihari, traveling on the Sanghamitra Express, gave birth to a baby on the station platform, filling the air with the joyous cry of a newborn.

Jabalpur. The cry of a newborn resonated in Jabalpur railway station of Madhya Pradesh. A woman travelling in Sanghamitra Express delivered a baby on the platform itself. The delivery took place on platform number 4 of Jabalpur station.

In fact, Meena Kumari, a pregnant woman from Motihari, Bihar, was travelling in the train. As soon as she reached Jabalpur railway station, she started experiencing labour pains. Then due to severe pain, the delivery of the woman was done on platform number 4 itself. During this, people helped her. Pamila was surrounded from all sides holding a sheet in her arms. The delivery was done with the help of a female doctor, female GRP staff and female passengers. As soon as the baby's cry resonated, people and train passengers heaved a sigh of relief. After successful delivery, the woman has been shifted to Lady Elgin Hospital. The woman was going from Bengaluru to Danapur in Bihar. The woman's family has expressed gratitude to the doctor, GRP staff and all the people who helped in the delivery.
