Activa over ex-girlfriend after argument: After breakup, accused attacks woman

A young man hit his ex-girlfriend with his Activa and ran away from the scene. The accused was pressuring his former live-in partner to live together again. The young woman refused this. Frustated by this, the young man attacked her. The incident happened in Indore.
On Wednesday (September 24) evening in Kalpana Nagar area, accused Rajendra Chaurasia stopped the young woman on the way. He insisted on living together again. The young woman refused and protested. An argument broke out between them. The angry accused left from there. And he came speeding towards the young woman on his Activa. During this, the young woman picked up a stone in her hand to protect herself. Even then, he did not stop. He ran the Activa over her at high speed and ran away. People from the street helped her up and supported her.
The young woman has filed a complaint at the police station. Police have registered a case of molestation and attempted murder against Rajendra. He already has 7 criminal cases registered against him. Currently, the police are searching for him. CCTV video of the incident has also being watched.
Live-in relationship
Police investigation revealed that the young woman and Rajendra were having an affair. They also lived in a live-in relationship for some time. Rajendra was addicted to drugs. His behavior had also become violent. Because of this, the young woman ended all relationships. After this, she went to Mumbai. She started working there.
Accused started visiting near her house
This month when her father passed away, she returned to Indore. Rajendra got the news of her returning her home. He started roaming around the girl's house in Kalpana Nagar. On Wednesday, he saw the young woman alone. He asked her to come with him, but she refused. In anger, he tried to kill her by running her over with an Activa.
Police have recorded the woman's statement in the hospital. An FIR has been registered based on the statement in Hiranagar police station by in-charge Sushil Patel. A raid was also conducted at Rajendra's house late Wednesday night.
