Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Governor Mangubhai Patel, Minister Tulsi Silawat and Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri attended the ceremony alongside Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. In a light moment during the proceedings, Baba Ramdev told Shastri that he, too, would be married at a future Samuhik Vivaah Sammelan, drawing laughter from those present.
The large gathering underscored the scale and social message of the ceremony, which was organised as part of a community wedding initiative. The Akhada Parishad announced financial assistance of ₹1.25 lakh for each couple, while Baba Ramdev, on behalf of Patanjali Peeth, pledged ₹1 lakh per couple. Organisers said the contributions were aimed at supporting newlyweds and encouraging simple, collective wedding traditions.
Abhimanyu Yadav arrived at the venue with the group of grooms in a traditional procession. Speaking briefly, he said participating in a mass marriage brought “double happiness,” adding that sharing the occasion with many others made the event even more meaningful. He thanked the organisers for the arrangements and offered prayers to Baba Mahakal for a peaceful and fulfilling married life.
The ceremony continued through the evening with the completion of rituals and blessings from spiritual leaders. Officials said the event was designed not only as a personal milestone for the families involved but also as a social statement encouraging inclusive and cost-effective marriage practices in the state.
