A large section of the road near Nadi Kinare Basti in Bhopal’s Awadhpuri area collapsed after heavy rainfall, creating a risk for nearby residents. The damaged stretch has reportedly developed a deep pit, raising concerns about safety and movement in the area.
According to local information, the road caved in to a depth of around 12 feet, affecting movement near the residential area. Residents expressed concern over the damaged road and demanded immediate repair work to prevent any untoward incident.
Officials inspected the site after receiving information about the collapse. A team examined the affected area and assessed the extent of damage.
The incident comes amid continued monsoon activity in Bhopal, during which several areas have reported water-related issues and road damage.
Local residents said that timely repairs and safety measures are needed, especially in areas where road collapses can pose risks to pedestrians and vehicles.
