Sehore Records 8.5°C Minimum Temperature: Mercury Below 10°C for 17 Consecutive Days

Sehore continues to reel under a persistent cold spell, with temperatures staying unusually low for more than two weeks. On Monday, the district recorded a minimum temperature of 8.5°C and a maximum of 24°C. The large gap between day and night temperatures has intensified the chill during morning and evening hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, the sky is expected to remain clear in the coming days, which will further increase the cold.
Dr. S.S. Tomar from the Meteorology Center at the Government Agriculture College said that with clouds clearing consistently, night temperatures may drop even lower.

17 Days Below 10°C

For the past 17 days, Sehore’s nighttime temperature has remained below 10°C. Before this, the district witnessed fluctuating weather with intermittent rain and warm spells, but winter has now set in firmly. Residents have started relying on warm clothing, especially during early mornings and late evenings.

Temperature Trend Over Recent Days

The minimum temperature has been steadily slipping:

  • 10 Nov: 8.5°C

  • 11 Nov: 8.3°C

  • 12 Nov: 8.2°C

  • 15 Nov: 7.5°C

  • 16 Nov: 5.8°C

  • 17 Nov: 5.0°C — the lowest of the season

Since then, temperatures have remained between 6°C and 8°C. The weather department warns that the cold may intensify further.
