Bhopal Tricolour Rally Today: 32-Km Route, 1 Lakh Participants Expected

Bhopal will host a 32-km Tricolour rally on August 14, with more than 1 lakh people expected. CM Mohan Yadav and Hemant Khandelwal will join the event.

A 32-km-long Tricolour rally will be held across Bhopal on Friday, August 14, as part of the celebrations surrounding Independence Day and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

The rally is being organised under the banner of Karmashree, an organisation associated with Huzur MLA Rameshwar Sharma. It will begin at around 10 am from near Mother Teresa School on the Kolar Six Lane and conclude at Bhainsakhedi Mandi in Sant Nagar.

Organisers expect more than one lakh citizens to participate in the event, with thousands of vehicles carrying the national flag along the route.

CM Mohan Yadav to Join Rally

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and BJP Madhya Pradesh president Hemant Khandelwal are scheduled to participate in the rally.

According to the organising committee, around 50,000 vehicles have already been registered for the event.

More than 1,100 welcome points are also expected to be set up along the route, where residents, social organisations and other groups will greet participants.

Route and Security Arrangements

Ahead of the event, MLA Rameshwar Sharma inspected the starting point and the proposed route along with Bhopal Collector Priyank Mishra and Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar.

The officials reviewed arrangements related to crowd management, traffic movement, parking, security and public facilities.

Since rain has been forecast in parts of the city, organisers and officials have also been asked to make arrangements keeping the weather conditions in mind.

Selfie Points Carry Social Messages

The rally will also feature public-awareness messages alongside the display of the national flag.

Selfie points have been installed at several locations, including the Chuna Bhatti intersection. Messages such as “Gen-Z Against Addiction” and “Nasha Mukt Yuva” are being used to encourage young people to stay away from substance abuse.

Sharma also participated in a selfie campaign with workers and students at one of the installations, urging youngsters to support the message against addiction.

Annual Tricolour Tradition

The Tricolour rally is organised every year by Karmashree around Akhand Bharat Smriti Diwas.

Organisers say the event has grown in scale over the years, with increasing participation from residents and local organisations.

Welcome stages are traditionally installed at several points along the route, allowing residents to participate in the celebrations as the rally passes through different parts of the city.
