Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s younger son, Dr. Abhimanyu Yadav, is set to marry Dr. Ishita of Khargone in a mass marriage ceremony scheduled later this month in Ujjain. The wedding, which will span five days of rituals, marks the first time a Chief Minister’s son in the state will participate in a mass marriage event.
The ceremonies will be held across two venuesUjjain’s CM House (VIP Residence) and Atharva Hotel, both reserved for the wedding events. Pre-wedding functions will begin on November 26, when the Chief Minister is expected to arrive in Ujjain to supervise preparations.
The main wedding rituals, including the pheras, will take place on November 30 at an open ground near Atharva Hotel during the district’s mass marriage conference. A total of 20 other couples will also be married at the event. The reception will follow at the hotel.
Sources said invitations have been issued selectively, limiting the guest list to close family members, senior ministers, top bureaucrats, and key BJP leaders. The engagement ceremony, held five months ago at the CM’s residence in Bhopal, was conducted with simplicity and attended by party leaders and relatives.
Dr. Abhimanyu is currently in his second year of MS (Surgery) at LNCT Medical College, Bhopal. The bride-to-be, Dr. Ishita, daughter of Khargone farmer Dinesh Patel, is an MBBS graduate pursuing postgraduate studies.
The two families already share a close relationship. The Chief Minister’s daughter, Dr. Akanksha, is married into the Patel family, and with Ishita joining the Yadav household, the bond between the families deepens. The extended family also includes political links, with former MP Congress chief Arun Yadav being related to the bride’s side.
CM Yadav earlier posted engagement photographs on social media, expressing gratitude for the blessings received from family and religious traditions. Final preparations for the ceremony are underway, with Ujjain authorities coordinating security and logistical arrangements for the large gathering.
