Cruise ship capsizes in Jabalpur's Bargi Dam, 4 dead, several missing

A tragic accident occurred at the Bargi Dam, located on the Narmada River in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Four people are reported dead after the cruise ship sank completely into the dam, while several others are still missing. According to reports, the Indian Army has joined the rescue operation alongside the SDRF and NDRF. Army helicopters from Hyderabad and Kolkata have been called to the scene to expedite the operation and retrieve the remaining bodies. It is reported that 22 people have been rescued so far, while more than 10 remain missing. However, the exact number of people on board the cruise ship has not been confirmed.

The Jabalpur district administration has also released a list of the 22 rescued individuals. These include several tourists and people from other states who had traveled to Bargi for vacation. In addition, a list of the four bodies recovered has been released, including Neetu Soni, Saubhagya Alag, Madhur Massey, all from Delhi, and Kakulajhi Khamaria. Eyewitnesses suggest that more than 10 bodies are still trapped on the cruise. According to the administration team present at the scene, the exact number of dead and those on board will only be known after the cruise is fully evacuated.
