DAVV Indore Opens Second PhD Admission Cycle, Registration from May 1
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) in Indore has announced its second PhD admission cycle for the 2025 academic year. The application process will commence on May 15, 2025, catering to both NET-qualified candidates and those opting for the university's entrance examination.
Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) will be conducted in June this year for admission in 13 subjects of PhD in Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. Approval has been received from the Executive Council for conducting the examination. DET examination can be conducted by the university in June. The university has not released the final schedule of the examination. It is expected that the complete examination schedule will be released in the next few days.
While it is necessary for the students to be NET qualified for PhD examination, there are subjects which are not included in the NET examination. DAVV has decided to conduct DET examination in June for admission to seats in such 13 subjects. In fact, for the last 2 years, DAVV has been conducting DET examination for those subjects in which NET examination is not being conducted. This examination will be conducted for the vacant seats of 13 subjects due to non-conduction of NET examination.
DET exam will be conducted for 13 courses
Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) is being conducted for the convenience of students pursuing PhD by the university in 13 subjects. Most of them include engineering courses, mainly Electronics Communication, Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Information and Technology, Pharmacy, Data Science and other subjects.
In view of the problems being faced by the students, a proposal was placed before the working council by the examination department of DAVV regarding the courses for which the examination is not being conducted through NET. After discussing various issues in the proposal, the working council has given its consent to conduct the examination in June.
Experts will prepare the question paper
Under the Doctoral Entrance Test (DET), DAVV will prepare papers for 13 subjects related to various faculties. In the next few days, by announcing the examination schedule, the examination committee of DAVV will prepare the question paper through various subject experts. A panel of different subject experts is being prepared for all the 13 courses.
