A racket of making BPL cards in a fraudulent manner has been busted in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. BPL cards were issued by using fake documents and forged signatures of SDM. Fake BPL cards were issued to 7 people. On the instructions of SDM, Gorakhpur police has registered an FIR in the case.
Actually, the fake BPL cards caught are not recorded in the government records. Many government employees including the operator of SDM office may have a role in the case. Investigation is also being done on 7 fake BPL card holders. Despite being ineligible, BPL cards were issued by tampering with the documents.
Fake BPL cards have been issued in the name of Urmila Sharma, Neha Chakraborty, Sohil Yadav, Priyanka Ben, Rukmani Patel, Kiran Burman and Riya Kewat. Fake BPL cards were issued by taking money from all the seven people. Many more revelations can be made during police interrogation. Since when was this racket going on, who all were involved and how many people have been issued fake cards till now.
