Health Dept. crackdown in Gwalior, 15 clinics sealed

In a major action, the health department has sealed 15 clinics in Gwalior within four days and prepared FIRs against fake doctors running illegal practices.
The Health Department in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh has taken swift action against fake and illegally operated clinics. The Health Department team led by Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Sachin Srivastava sealed five more clinics during a surprise inspection. This action was taken in Gwalior city and surrounding areas, where a total of 15 clinics have been locked in four days.
During the inspection, it was revealed that these clinics were being operated without registration in the CMHO office. In many clinics, 12th pass, RMP, and nursing degree holders were treating allopathy without proper qualification, which is a gross violation of the rules. In one clinic, patients were being treated by a 12th pass person, who has been placed in the category of quack doctor.

V.S. Rajput Clinic, Adityapuram – The operator had only an RMP degree.
Saroj Arogya Clinic, Motijheel – Veer Singh Tomar had a Jan Swasthya Rakshak certificate.
Muskan Clinic, Ladhedi – Birendra Batham had a GNM diploma.
Kushwah Clinic, Stone Park, Gwalior – Veer Singh Kushwah was only 12th pass.
Aarush Clinic, Motijheel – Bhoop Singh Dhakad had a B.Sc. Nursing diploma.
The health department has started preparations to seal all these clinics as well as register an FIR against the fake doctors. CMHO Dr Sachin Srivastava clarified that practicing medicine without registration and proper medical degree is illegal. He said, “Such quack doctors are playing with the lives of patients. Our action will continue further.
