Life Imprisonment to 3 Including Notorious Dacoit in Gang Rape Case; POCSO Court Delivers Verdict

A POCSO special court has sentenced three individuals, including a reward-winning dacoit, to life imprisonment for gang-raping a minor after holding her parents hostage. The court delivered a strong verdict, emphasizing zero tolerance for such heinous crimes.

The court has given its verdict in the much talked about Bhanwarpura gang rape case of Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. Three people including the rewarded dacoit have been sentenced to life imprisonment in the case. This sentence has been pronounced by the POCSO Special Court. 21-year-old dacoit Jandel Singh Gurjar has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Associates Sanjeev Gurjar, Akash Gurjar have also been sentenced to life imprisonment. Gwalior POCSO Special Court has pronounced the sentence.

Actually, the incident took place in Bhanwarpura village on 30 January 2024. There was a gang rape incident with a minor girl. Dacoit Jandel Singh Gurjar gang-raped the minor. The incident was committed with the girl by holding her parents hostage. Dacoit Jandel and his associates Sanjeev, Akash had committed gang rape. Dacoit Jandel Singh is lodged in Gwalior jail since 5 April 2024. Orders have been given to give compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the victim girl.
