Madhya Pradesh Weather Update November 2025: Intense Cold Wave Returns Soon, Fog Persists in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior
Digital Desk
Night temperatures in Madhya Pradesh have once again plunged below 10°C in seven major cities, with the Gwalior-Chambal region recording the sharpest drop this week. Nowgong (Chhatarpur) recorded the state’s lowest temperature at 7.8°C, followed closely by Morena (8.8°C) and Rewa (8.9°C).
City-Wise Minimum Temperature (Tuesday-Wednesday Night)
- Nowgong (Chhatarpur): 7.8°C (Lowest in MP)
- Morena: 8.8°C
- Rewa: 8.9°C
- Gwalior: 9.3°C
- Datia/Chitrakoot: 9.6°C
- Khajuraho: 9.8°C
- Sidhi: 10°C
- Bhopal: 15.4°C
- Indore: 15.1°C
- Jabalpur: 15.2°C
While northern and eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh shiver under intense cold, western and central cities like Indore, Bhopal, and Ujjain are still recording relatively higher night temperatures between 15-16°C due to cloud cover and changing wind patterns.
Why Cold Intensity Reduced Temporarily?
Meteorologists attribute the current fluctuation to:
- A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal causing light cloud cover
- Shift in wind direction blocking strong northerly cold winds from the Himalayas
- Despite heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir, icy winds are not penetrating deep into MP yet
Senior meteorologist Dr. Divya E. Surendran warned, “Temperatures will fluctuate for the next two days, but a fresh intense winter spell is expected after 48 hours.”
Record-Breaking November 2025 in Madhya Pradesh
This November has already shattered decades-old cold records:
- Bhopal: Coldest November night in 84 years (5.2°C on Nov 16)
- Indore: Broke 25-year-old record
