Major Theft Case Cracked in Datia: Two Arrested, 80% Stolen Valuables Recovered Including Gold Worth ₹4 Lakh

The police have successfully cracked a major theft case that occurred on May 20 in the Indergarh police station area.

The incident, which took place at three houses including that of a local grocery trader Sonu Sahu near Kherapati Temple, had caused panic in the area due to the high value of the stolen goods.

Acting on CCTV footage and mobile location tracking, police arrested the prime suspect, Brijmohan Kushwaha, a resident of Sirsod, Gwalior. Authorities recovered gold and silver ornaments worth around ₹4 lakh and ₹26,000 in cash from his possession.

During interrogation, Brijmohan confessed to the involvement of two accomplices. Based on his statement, the police arrested the second suspect as well and recovered nearly 80 percent of the stolen items from him.

According to Sevda SDOP Ajay Channa, both arrested individuals are being intensively interrogated. Meanwhile, police teams are conducting raids at multiple locations to apprehend the remaining two suspects believed to be on the run. Officials are optimistic that the entire gang will be busted soon and the remaining stolen goods will also be recovered.
