MP Transfers 32 IAS Officers, Srishti Deshmukh Named Rewa Zila Panchayat CEO

Madhya Pradesh transfers 32 IAS officers in a major reshuffle. Srishti Deshmukh Gauda becomes Rewa Zila Panchayat CEO, with changes in Bhopal, Gwalior and Satna.

The Madhya Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle involving 32 IAS officers. Srishti Deshmukh Gauda has been appointed CEO of Rewa Zila Panchayat, while officials in Bhopal, Gwalior, Satna and several other districts have also received new assignments.

32 IAS Officers Transferred

The Madhya Pradesh General Administration Department issued orders on Friday transferring and reposting 32 IAS officers.

The reshuffle covers officers serving at the state secretariat as well as Zila Panchayat CEOs, municipal commissioners, additional commissioners and field-level administrative positions.

The changes will affect the administrative setup in several districts and major cities across the state.

Srishti Deshmukh Gets Rewa

2019-batch IAS officer Srishti Deshmukh Gauda has been appointed CEO of Rewa Zila Panchayat.

She was previously serving as Additional Collector in Khandwa. In her new role, she will oversee the implementation of rural development programmes and government schemes through the district's Panchayati Raj system.

Gwalior Municipal Corporation

Gwalior Municipal Corporation has also received a new commissioner as part of the reshuffle.

2018-batch IAS officer Abhishek Chaudhary has been appointed Commissioner of Gwalior Municipal Corporation.

The corporation's outgoing commissioner, Sanghpriya, has been transferred and appointed CEO of Singrauli Zila Panchayat.

The changes will bring new leadership to both urban administration in Gwalior and district-level development in Singrauli.

New Role For Satna

2019-batch IAS officer Dr Nagarjun B. Gowda has been appointed Commissioner of Satna Municipal Corporation.

He has also been given additional charge as CEO of Satna Smart City.

The appointment places him in charge of both municipal administration and the implementation of Smart City-related projects in Satna.

Changes In Bhopal

Several administrative responsibilities have also been changed in the state capital.

2018-batch IAS officer Akshay Kumar Temrwal has been appointed Additional Commissioner of Bhopal Municipal Corporation.

Meanwhile, 2020-batch IAS officer Abhishek Saraf has been posted as Additional Commissioner in the Urban Administration and Development Department at Bhopal.

2016-batch IAS officer Sanjana Jain has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Water Resources Department. She was earlier serving as Additional Collector of Maihar.

Zila Panchayat CEOs Changed

Several Zila Panchayat CEOs have also been transferred under the latest order.

Jagdish Kumar Gome has been transferred from Singrauli and appointed CEO of Sagar Zila Panchayat. Navneet Kumar Dhurve has been shifted from Tikamgarh and appointed CEO of Dewas Zila Panchayat.

Saumya Anand has been appointed CEO of Sidhi Zila Panchayat, while Aishwarya Verma has been given charge of Khandwa Zila Panchayat.

Kartikeya Jaiswal has been appointed CEO of Sheopur Zila Panchayat, while Vishal Dhakad will serve as CEO of Tikamgarh Zila Panchayat.

Young IAS Officers Get Field Roles

The reshuffle also gives several 2024-batch IAS officers field-level responsibilities.

These officers have been posted as Sub-Divisional Officers (Revenue), or SDMs, in different districts.

The assignments will give the young officers direct responsibility for district-level administration and revenue matters.

According to reports, the wider reshuffle also includes transfers of four State Administrative Service officers. This takes the total number of officers affected by the reported administrative exercise to 36.

The latest changes are expected to bring new leadership across district administrations, municipal corporations and Zila Panchayats. The transferred officers will take charge of their respective assignments as per the government orders.
