MPESB announces 474 direct recruitment posts; applications open December 24, exam on February 10

The Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board (MPESB) has released a notification for 474 direct recruitment posts across state-run medical colleges, hospitals, health institutions, corporations and government offices. Online applications will open on December 24, offering opportunities in medical, technical and administrative roles.

According to MPESB, the recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies in the health and medical education sectors as well as in allied government departments. The largest number of posts are in health services, reflecting staff shortages in state medical institutions.

The advertised positions include Medical Social Worker, Physiotherapist, Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatric Social Worker, Assistant Hospital Manager, Assistant Statistical Officer, Data Entry Operator, and Lab Technician or Technical Assistant. In medical education, posts of Assistant Professor and Tutor have been notified. Several technical and administrative positions are also available in State Cooperative Milk Federations, State Insurance Services and directorate-level offices.

Applications will be accepted exclusively online through the official website, www.esb.mp.gov.in. The last date to apply is January 7, 2026, while candidates will be allowed to make corrections to their forms until January 12. The application fee has been set at ₹500 for general category candidates and ₹250 for SC, ST and OBC candidates who are residents of Madhya Pradesh.

The recruitment examination will be conducted on February 10, 2026, in computer-based mode. MPESB has scheduled the test in two shifts — from 9 am to 12 noon and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The question paper will include sections on technical subjects relevant to the post, along with general knowledge, reasoning and basic computer awareness.

Eligibility criteria vary by post. Medical and psychology positions require relevant degree or postgraduate qualifications, while technical posts demand a diploma or graduation. Administrative and assistant roles require graduation. The age limit is 18 to 40 years, with relaxations applicable as per government rules.

Selection will primarily be based on written examination marks, followed by document verification and, where applicable, technical assessments. MPESB will publish the final merit list after completion of the process.
