New COVID Variant XFG Detected in MP, Found in 63.6% of Samples

A new COVID variant, XFG, has entered Madhya Pradesh, detected in 28 out of 44 tested samples—making up 63.6%. Health officials note it as the fastest-spreading strain currently.

 

The new variant of Corona has entered Madhya Pradesh. The new variant named XFG has now become the fastest spreading virus. In this episode, XFG variants have been found in 28 out of 44 samples i.e. 63.6 percent. This new variant is made from the already spreading LF7 variant.

Now the effect of the old variant LF-7 has reduced

28 patients of the new variant of Corona have been found in the state capital Bhopal. Genome sequencing of 44 samples found. Symptoms in the infected are very mild and there is no need to panic. Now the effect of the old variant LF-7 has reduced. Earlier, cases of corona were reported in many districts of the state. Most cases were reported in Gwalior and Jabalpur. The Health Department has appealed to the citizens to follow the guidelines issued to avoid the corona virus.

Experts say, at present there is no evidence to show that XFG is causing more serious illness or hospitalization. However, if the ability of this XYG to spread silently by dodging immunity increases further, it can be a matter of concern. However, if these variants are not monitored closely now, they can pose a risk in the future. Experts say that all the variants that are coming out are Omicron variants and sub-variants. Their growth is low in India and the mortality rate is also very low. There is no major danger associated with these variants.
