Over 1 lakh devotees joined the Kanwar Yatra led by Pandit Pradeep Mishra at Kubereshwar Dham. Tragedy struck as two women lost their lives in a stampede during the distribution of Rudraksha.
Kanwar Yatra started today in Kubereshwar Dham under the leadership of storyteller Pandit Pradeep Mishra. In which more than 1 lakh devotees have participated. Pradeep Mishra reached Sehore after finishing the story in Bhilai. During this, he told the importance of Kanwar Yatra.
Kanwar Yatra of Pradeep Mishra started
The Kanwar Yatra of Pandit Pradeep Mishra, an international storyteller of Kubereshwar Dham, which takes place every year in the month of Sawan, has started. Devotees will fill water from the Sewan river and take water in the Kanwar and walk 14 kilometers. During this, the police have made tight security arrangements. There is a long jam on the roads everywhere.
Importance of Kanwar Yatra explained
While talking to the media, Pradeep Mishra told the importance of Kanwar Yatra. He said, the first Kanwar Yatra was offered to Lord Shiva by Lankapati Ravana, Krishna Ji, Lord Parshuram and Lord Ram. The importance of the same has been given by Mata Parvati and Mata Sati.
Yesterday 2 women died in a stampede while collecting Rudraksha. Let us tell you that on Tuesday during the Kanwad Yatra, there was a stampede among the devotees standing in line to collect Rudraksha. During this, 2 female devotees died due to being crushed in the crowd. At the same time, about 10 other women were injured. They were admitted to the district hospital. Immediately after the incident, the Collector and SP inspected the spot. A large number of police force has been deployed.
