A retired SECL employee lost ₹7.5 lakh after falling for an online scam she discovered on YouTube. The fraudsters cleared her bank account within 10 days by luring her into a fake investment scheme.
A shocking case has come to light from Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh. Where two youths together cheated a retired woman from SECL of Rs 7.5 lakh after watching cheating tricks on YouTube. The incident is from village Patera Tola of Jaitpur police station area. Shimla Bai Kewat was targeted by her acquaintance Mahendra Singh Gond and his partner Pushpraj Gond after watching cheating tricks on YouTube. The conspiracy of this cheating was so clever that both of them grew close to the woman and started visiting her house. One day, seeing an opportunity, they took the woman's mobile, removed her SIM and put it in their phone and linked her bank account to UPI.
