Severe Heatwave Grips MP: Mercury Hits 46°C

Madhya Pradesh reels under an intense heatwave as temperatures soar to 46°C. Authorities issue alerts for several districts, urging residents to take precautions.

 
 

Heat waves Alert: The scorching heat continues in Madhya Pradesh. Heatwave and heat wave have been seen in many cities. People are very upset with this scorching heat. The temperature is rising rapidly since morning. At the same time, the condition is getting worse in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heat wave alert in Gwalior, Chambal and Bundelkhand divisions of the state on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the mercury crossed 40 degrees in 28 cities, while the highest reached 46.1 degrees in Naugaon. The temperature in Narmadapuram, Guna, Khajuraho, Tikamgarh and Sagar was 45 degrees or more.

On Wednesday, heat wave is likely in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia, Guna, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Neemuch and Mandsaur. At the same time, there will be intense heat in many cities including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur. On the other hand, there is an alert of thunderstorm and rain in Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Dindori, Anuppur and Shahdol.

The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal, Ujjain and Sagar divisions for the next 2 days i.e., 11 and 12 June. The rainy season will start again from 13 June. However, the effect of heat will remain in the districts where there will be no rain. For the last 13 days, the monsoon has been stuck at one place in Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh. Due to this, its entry into MP is getting delayed.
