Itarsi-Nagpur 4th Railway Line Approved; Jyotirlinga Yatra to Srisailam, Rameshwar Made Easier

Approval of the Itarsi-Nagpur fourth railway line will boost connectivity for Jyotirlinga pilgrims from Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar to Srisailam and Rameshwar. CM Dr Mohan Yadav thanked PM Modi for the decision

The Union Cabinet has approved the Itarsi-Nagpur fourth rail line project. This will facilitate the Jyotirlinga Yatra from Mahakaleshwar-Omkareshwar to Srisailam (Andhra Pradesh) and Rameshwar (Tamil Nadu). Narmadapuram, Betul, Pandhurna of Madhya Pradesh and Nagpur (Maharashtra) will also get direct benefit from this. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this.

CM Dr. Mohan has thanked Prime Minister Modi for approving the Itarsi-Nagpur fourth rail line. Madhya Pradesh will get special benefits from this approval given in the Union Cabinet meeting. The Chief Minister said that with the approval of the Itarsi-Nagpur fourth rail line, Narmadapuram, Betul, Pandhurna of the state and Nagpur (Maharashtra) will also get direct benefit from this.

He said that with the approval of the Itarsi-Nagpur fourth railway line project, the Jyotirlinga Yatra from Mahakaleshwar-Omkareshwar to Srisailam (Andhra Pradesh) and Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu) will become more comfortable and easy. With the implementation of this project, 5.3 crore liters of diesel will be saved every year and 10 million tons of additional freight capacity will be developed. Along with this, there will also be a saving of Rs 1,206 crore in logistics cost.
