Taxi and auto services will remain completely halted in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal today. Taxi and auto drivers are on strike today under the banner of Taxi Union Kalyan Samiti. In this episode, hundreds of taxi, auto drivers will protest at Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti Park from 11 am to 5 pm regarding their various demands.
More than 2500 taxi drivers and more than 2000 auto drivers associated with private service provider companies like Ola, Uber and Rapido will join the protest. The movement will affect all the major traffic centers of the city including Bhopal Railway Station, Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, Sant Hirdaram Nagar Station, Habibganj area, bus stand and Raja Bhoj Airport.

Thousands of passengers traveling through taxi and auto in the city may have to face problems today. The main demands of the union include illegal recovery, illegal parking, parking system, encroachment of private taxis at the airport, illegal taxi services, implementation of government rates in private taxi companies, improvement in fitness machine, illegal recovery in the name of panic button, permanent office for the union etc.
