Terror of Thieves in Guna: Series of Incidents from Raghogarh to Kotwali

In recent days, there has been a sudden spike in theft cases across Guna district. A series of thefts in the police station areas of Raghogarh, Cantt, Kotwali, and Bajranggarh have raised serious questions about police vigilance.
Thieves have targeted homes, stealing cash and valuables after breaking locks, and in some instances, gifts were stolen from wedding venues. Police have registered cases against unidentified thieves in all incidents and have initiated investigations.
Raghogarh: Two Motorbikes, Laptop, and Pump Stolen After Break-in
Sher Singh Bhadoria, a resident of Kanha Lake City Colony in Raghogarh police station area, lodged a report stating that unknown thieves broke the lock of the upper room of his house last night. They stole a Lenovo laptop, a Havells cooler, a water pump, and two motorbikes — a Splendor (MP 04 NC 6592) and a Pulsar (MP 38 NK 4815).
Two Separate Vehicle Thefts in Cantt Police Station Area
In the Cantt police station area, Ankesh Yadav, a resident of Singwasa, had his black Splendor bike (MP 08 MJ 3815) stolen while he had gone to deliver milk at Agarwal Dairy. In another incident, Ramkishore Rathore from Jankipuram Colony caught Rana Rajak red-handed while he was removing the battery from his e-rickshaw. When an alarm was raised, the thief fled, abandoning his scooter, which was later seized by the police.
Three Thefts in Kotwali Area: Cash and Pumps Stolen
Thieves ran rampant in the Kotwali police station area. Rajesh Rajak, a resident of Haripur Road, found the front tire of his auto taxi missing overnight. Arvind Rathore, a resident of Dubey Colony, reported that a water pump was stolen from his house’s veranda — estimated to be worth ₹5000. Similarly, Hemraj Ojha of Nazul Colony returned from the bus stand to find the lock of his room broken. Thieves had stolen ₹4500 in cash, an Aadhaar card, and a bag.
Bajranggarh: Stolen Items from Wedding Recovered Within 24 Hours
Bajranggarh police achieved a breakthrough by recovering items stolen from a wedding within 24 hours. Maniram Ahirwar from village Satnapur had reported that on May 17, during his daughter’s wedding, guests had moved to nearby homes due to rain. Taking advantage, someone stole an LED TV and a mixer kept under the wedding canopy. Based on suspicion, the police detained Lokendra alias Lukka from the same village. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the theft. The police recovered stolen items worth ₹18,000 from his possession and presented him in court. Sub-Inspector Ruhil Sharma, Head Constables Omkant Khatik, Dilip Kalawat, Rajesh Shukla, Sandeep Khatik, and Constable Naval Jatav played key roles in the action.
