Three from Ratlam Killed in Rajasthan Highway Crash; Two Young Children Orphaned
A tragic road accident on Rajasthan’s Phalodi–Bikaner National Highway-11 has claimed the lives of three people from Ratlam district — a couple and their 12-year-old daughter.
The bodies reached their village, Alampur Thikriya, early Sunday morning, where the family and villagers bid farewell in a single funeral procession.
The deceased were identified as Jagdish (32), his wife Pooja (30), and their daughter Tina (12). The family had gone to Rajasthan along with 12 others from their village seeking work before Diwali. The accident occurred late Friday night when a truck trailer rammed into their tempo from behind, killing four people, including the driver from Phalodi.
Bodies Brought Home Before Dawn
After receiving news of the crash, relatives reached Phalodi on Saturday. Following postmortems, the bodies were brought back to Javra around 4 a.m. Sunday and then taken to their village by morning. The atmosphere in Alampur Thikriya turned mournful as three coffins arrived together.
Local MLA Dr. Rajendra Pandey, SDM Sunil Jaiswal, and other officials, including BJP district secretary Mahesh Soni, attended the funeral and consoled the grieving families.
Two Children Left Orphaned
Jagdish and Pooja’s two children, Ashok (8) and Roshni (8), were also in the tempo. Both survived with injuries but lost their parents in the crash. Another victim, Tina, was traveling with her parents Lalsingh and Suganbai, who now mourn the loss of their only daughter.
A total of 12 people were injured, ten of whom have been admitted to a private nursing home in Javra. Among the injured are Amru (59), Mamta (30), Kinjal (14), Babu (35), Suganbai (30), Dharmendra, Bhola (8), Ramubai (35), Rahul (21), Ashok (8), and Roshni (8).
