Victim Lured for “Divine Treatment,” Forced Into Church, Robbed of ₹2 Lakh & Jewellery

A man was deceived under the pretext of receiving a healing ritual—after being made to dip in a pond, he was taken to a church where thieves stole ₹2 lakh in cash and valuable jewellery. The incident, framed as a spiritual treatment, has sparked outrage over deceptive conversion ploys and criminal exploitation in the name of faith.
The cases of religious conversion are not stopping in Madhya Pradesh. Cases of religious conversion keep coming up every day. The latest case is from Jabalpur where a woman was pressured to convert on the pretext of her daughter's treatment. The accused Preeti Jain and Hariom also grabbed Rs 2 lakh and jewellery from the woman. The accused woman and her husband have also been accused of drugging the woman.
Actually, Nikita Yadav and her husband Rajkumar Yadav of the city have been pressured to convert to Christianity. After making the victims take a dip in the pond at Tilwara, the accused took them to the church. They extorted Rs 2 lakh and jewellery on the pretext of their health getting better. When the daughter's health did not improve, the accused threatened to kill them when they asked for the jewellery and money. Adhartal police station has registered a case and started investigation.
