The much-anticipated trailer of Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, was unveiled on Tuesday, offering audiences a 4-minute 7-second glimpse into the film’s high-octane action and intense drama. The trailer features stellar performances from Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, promising a gripping cinematic experience ahead of its theatrical release on December 5.
Arjun Rampal, portraying ISI Major Iqbal, makes a commanding entry with the dialogue, “Major Iqbal jis par meherbaan ho jaaein, unka mustaqbil badal jaata hai” (Major Iqbal, whoever he blesses, their destiny changes), highlighting his powerful on-screen presence. Ranveer Singh is introduced as a secret agent, while R. Madhavan’s character, Ajay Sanyal, impresses with the line, “Muh todne ke liye mutthi band karna zaroori hai” (‘It is necessary to clench your fist to break a face’).
Akshaye Khanna, in the role of Rahamat Dacoit, delivers a chilling dialogue: “Jo waada kiya gaya, use bhoolne ki gustaakhi mat karna, Rehman Dakait ki di hui maut badi kasai-numa hoti hai” (‘Don’t dare to forget the promise made; the death delivered by Rahman Dacoit is extremely brutal’), which critics say steals the spotlight. Sanjay Dutt’s cameo, accompanied by a powerful background score, adds further intensity to the trailer.
The trailer launch event, held on Tuesday, saw the film’s star cast in attendance. Ranveer Singh was visibly emotional during the event, wiping tears as he spoke to the media about the project, reflecting his deep connection to the film.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, known for Uri: The Surgical Strike, Dhurandhar is produced under the Jio Studios banner. The soundtrack features compositions by Shashwat, with vocal contributions from Jasmine and Hanumankind. Sara Arjun stars as the female lead alongside Ranveer Singh, promising to bring a mix of romance and drama to the high-stakes narrative.
With its action-packed sequences, intense dialogues, and ensemble cast, Dhurandhar aims to be one of the biggest cinematic events this festive season.
