Government will replace surplus TGT teachers in Himachal, records sought from schools in 7 days; Where will they be posted?

Surplus TGT teachers will be transferred in government schools of Shimla. The education department has sought records from schools so that the rationalization process can be completed by June 15. After the transfer dispute in April, the department had withdrawn the orders, now action will be taken afresh. Principals and head teachers will also take classes.

Surplus trained graduate teachers (TGT) will be replaced in government schools of the state. Under the rationalization process, they will be sent to such schools where the post is vacant. Director School Education Department Ashish Kohli has sent a letter to the principals and head teachers of all schools in this regard. A format has also been sent along with the letter. Schools have been asked to send the complete record to the Directorate of Education within 7 days as per the prescribed format.

Information will have to be given on four points in this. Name of the school, number of surplus teachers, including name, total teachers, category i.e. how many teachers are surplus in which category, how many teachers are there in medical, non-medical and arts faculty. After getting this record, further action will be taken in this matter. The department wants to complete the rationalization process by 15 June so that the children's studies are not hampered by frequent change of teachers.

The education department had changed 449 teachers in the month of April under the rationalization process. There was a lot of controversy regarding this. After which the department has withdrawn its orders. Now its record has been sought afresh. The department claims that this process will be completed before 15 June. For this, now the exercise has started at the departmental level.

The education department has called for the record of surplus teachers from the schools. Along with this, they have also been cited the rules of the year 2003. It has been said that the principal and head teacher will teach 6 to 8 classes in a week.

Similarly, the lecturer will have to take 30 classes, C&V and TGT will have to take 36 classes in a week. The school head i.e. the principal and the chief teacher can also assign administrative duties and the responsibility of taking additional classes to the teachers.Chhavi Mittal (7)
