Veteran actor, writer and singer Piyush Mishra has been injured after a domestic accident at his residence, resulting in a fractured hand. The incident occurred when the acclaimed actor reportedly slipped and fell in his bathroom. Following the injury, doctors have advised him to take complete bed rest, preventing him from participating in promotional activities for his upcoming family entertainer, Dulhaniya Le Aayegi.

The development came to light during the film's promotional event, where director Akashaditya Lama and actress Khushalii Kumar were present. Mishra's absence prompted questions from the media, leading Lama to reveal the reason behind the actor's unexpected no-show.

Director Confirms Injury, Says Actor Is on Bed Rest

Speaking during the event, Akashaditya Lama said he received a phone call from Piyush Mishra's manager on Monday night informing him about the accident.

According to the director, Mishra slipped in the bathroom at his home and sustained a fracture in his hand. Doctors immediately advised him to avoid all physical activity and remain on complete bed rest for recovery. Lama added that the actor is currently unable to attend interviews, promotional events or public appearances related to the film.

The director also shared that Mishra's condition is such that he is finding it difficult even to get out of bed, making it impossible for him to fulfil his promotional commitments.

Actor Had Been Working Despite Health Issues

Lama further revealed that Piyush Mishra had been dealing with health concerns for some time but continued working with dedication. Despite not being in the best of health, the veteran actor had been participating in promotional activities and fulfilling professional commitments.

The recent accident, however, has forced him to temporarily step away from all work. While no official timeline has been announced for his recovery, the film's team hopes he regains full health soon.

Fans have also expressed concern on social media, wishing the actor a speedy recovery after news of the accident surfaced.

Apart from Piyush Mishra, the film stars Khushalii Kumar and Mahesh Manjrekar in key roles.
