Punjabi youth kills 3 while driving truck intoxicated

A truck driver from Punjab, Jashanpreet Singh (21), hit around 10 vehicles in California, USA, on October 22, killing three people on the spot. The incident, caught on video, surfaced on Thursday.
American police said Jashanpreet, who was heavily intoxicated, did not use vehicle's brake despite a traffic jam ahead.
Accused taken into custody for questioning
He has been arrested and is in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, where questioning is ongoing. Reports suggest he was living in the US illegally.
Accident occurred on I-10 Freeway in California
According to American media reports, accident occurred on the I-10 Freeway in California. Jashanpreet Singh's truck suddenly went out of control.
The truck first hit small cars parked in the middle of the road, then also struck vehicles parked on the side. As per further reports, around ten vehicles were damaged in the accident.
Caught in 2022, then released later
According to information received from foreign agencies, Jashanpreet Singh had illegally gone to America and was living in Yuba City. He was caught by the Biden administration at the California border in 2022. However, he was later released.
Another Ludhiana youth received 45 years sentence earlier
Earlier on August 12, Harjinder Singh from Ludhiana was involved in an accident while taking a U-turn with his truck in California, USA. This caused the death of 3 people. The court has sentenced him to 45 years.
