This halwa is ready in just 15-20 minutes and everyone likes its soft, granular taste.

Ingredients for making Besan Halwa
- Gram flour - 1 cup
- Ghee - half cup
- Sugar - half cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Cardamom powder - half teaspoon
- Almonds-pistachio (chopped) - for garnishing
Method of making Besan Halwa
Heat ghee in a pan or wok and then add gram flour to it and fry it while stirring continuously on medium flame. Fry the gram flour till its color becomes golden brown and a good aroma starts coming from it. Keep in mind that the gram flour does not burn.
On another stove, put water and sugar in a vessel and boil it. Cook it till the sugar dissolves.
Now add this sugar water slowly to the roasted gram flour and keep stirring it continuously so that lumps do not form.
Slow down the flame of the gas and cook the halwa till it thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
Now add cardamom powder to it and mix well and then turn off the gas.
Take out the hot gram flour halwa in a bowl and garnish it with chopped almonds and pistachios and offer it to Ganpati Bappa.
