BJP’s Triple M Strategy in Bihar: Modi, Mandir & Mahila Power

For the upcoming Bihar elections, BJP is banking on a new strategy centered around Modi’s popularity, temple (mandir) politics, and women empowerment.

Preparations for the assembly elections to be held at the end of the year in Bihar are going on in full swing. In this episode, the Bharatiya Janata Party has prepared a new formula to strengthen its election campaign. BJP is focusing on the triple M factor i.e. Modi, temple and women in this election. Keeping the triple M factor in mind, the Bihar government has introduced many schemes for women. It is believed that this formula of BJP can give a tough challenge to the opposition parties.

PM Modi will do more than 10 tours in two and a half months
The first pillar of this formula of BJP is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who himself has come into the field to blow the election bugle. Modi will hold rallies in all the 9 divisions of Bihar from July 15 to September 15. In the last few months also, Modi has started creating an atmosphere by holding public meetings in Madhubani, Bikramganj and Siwan. PM Modi will try to woo voters by visiting Bihar more than 10 times in the next two and a half months.

Preparation to woo Hindu votes through temple politics
The second big pillar of MMM factor is 'temple'. BJP and JDU have tried to woo Hindu voters by announcing the construction of a grand temple of Mata Sita in Sitamarhi. Recently, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also made the design of the temple public. At the same time, Home Minister Amit Shah has mentioned this temple in many meetings. The temple card has been introduced to woo Hindu voters.

Focus on women vote bank
BJP is trying to woo women in Bihar under its triple M formula. There is a large bank of women in the state, for which BJP and JDU are making strategies. For the past few days, the Bihar government has announced many types of schemes for women. This also includes pension scheme. Recently, CM Nitish Kumar has increased the widow and old age pension from Rs 400 to Rs 1100.
