Tej Pratap Yadav criticized his brother Tejashwi, saying he relies on their father’s political legacy rather than his own strength. “Jannayak Karpoori Ji and Lohia Ji are remembered. Tejashwi Ji is not a Jannayak yet. Only when he proves himself on his own, will we call him one,” Tej Pratap said.
While touring Mahua, he announced plans to build an engineering college and a cricket stadium, with hopes of hosting an India-Pakistan match.
Responding to questions about the “lantern era” at Modi’s rally, he remarked, “We have LED lights in our car. We are not in the lantern era.” He added that only insiders can comment on RJD’s future, clarifying that he has no association with the party.
Earlier, Tej Pratap had stated in an interview, “I would rather die than return to RJD. I’m not after power; principles and self-respect matter most.”
Now contesting the MLA election from Mahua under his newly formed party, Janashakti Janata Dal, Tej Pratap emphasized, “I work for the people, and the people trust me. My focus is on public welfare and ensuring my party’s candidates win.”
