Indian fast bowler Harshit Rana has been asked to stay back in England with Team India for the upcoming Test series. Earlier, he was part of the India 'A' squad and played two matches against the England Lions. He also featured in an intra-squad match against the Indian Test team.

According to the team management, Rana’s pace and bounce could be effective on English pitches. However, he has not yet been officially added to the Test squad.

Team India is scheduled to play a 5-match Test series against England starting June 20 at Headingley, Leeds. The tour will run until August 4.
