400-Acre World-Class Medicity to Come Up in Nava Raipur

Plans are underway to develop a 400-acre world-class 'Medicity' in Nava Raipur, with land allocation preparations for leading medical institutions including Bombay Hospital.
Soon a Medicity equipped with world-class health facilities will be developed in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority has identified 400 acres of land in Sector-37 for this. Under this project, health services with a capacity of about 5 thousand beds will be developed through private investment and commercial model. Many big hospitals and medical institutions have shown interest in investing in it.
Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority officials said that preparations for the construction of Medicity have intensified. Apart from multispecialty hospitals in Medicity, medical colleges, hostels, diagnostic centers, research centers, dharamshalas and hotels will also be built under the commercial integrated development model. This Medicity will provide health facilities not only to Chhattisgarh but also to the surrounding states. It has been told that the government of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is also planning to develop Medicity as a medical tourism center. For this, efforts are being made to operate international flights from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur. Plan to build Medicity in all five divisions The state government has planned to develop one Medicity in all the five divisions of the state like Nava Raipur. This step has been taken under the Nava Anjar 2047 vision document. Under this scheme, health and nutrition have been given special priority. The goal of Medicity is to provide high quality tertiary care facilities, prepare skilled health workforce and give international recognition to medical tourism.
Will get a new identity
Officials say that the development of Medicity near the airport in Nava Raipur will give Chhattisgarh a new identity in the field of medical tourism at the international level. The state government is proposing to link the ambitious Medicity project with the health scheme of the central government in future.
