Life of Padma Shri Dr. Surendra Dubey
Born on 8 August 1953 in Bemetara, Chhattisgarh, Dr. Dubey was an Ayurvedic doctor by profession, but he made his identity as a litterateur and humorous poet. Along with Indian literature, he had a very strong hold on Chhattisgarhi language. He has written five books and appeared on many stages and TV shows. He was awarded the country's fourth highest Indian civilian award Padma Shri by the Government of India in the year 2010.
Earlier, Padma Shri Dr. Surendra Dubey received the Hasya Ratna Award from Kaka Hathrasi in the year 2008. In the year 2012, he has received Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Samman, Atthhas Samman and Leading Poet of India Samman in the United States.
