Special trains to run during festive season for passengers

Indian Railways announces the operation of special trains during the festive season, ensuring convenient travel for passengers and smoother management of holiday rush.

Railways has given a big relief to the passengers during the festive season. For better travel convenience of the passengers during Durga Puja, Durga Puja Special train will be operated for 5 rounds between Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Itwari) and Shalimar. Train number 08865 Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Itwari)-Shalimar Puja Special train will run from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Itwari) from 27 September to 1 October and train number 08866 Shalimar-Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Itwari) Puja Special train will run from Shalimar from 28 September to 2 October. Their stoppage will be at Itwari, Gondia, Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur, Bhatapara, Bilaspur, Champa, Raigarh, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur, Santragachi, Shalimar stations. Puja special train will have a total of 18 coaches including 2 SLRD, 5 general, 8 sleeper, 2 AC-3, 01 AC-2.

2 pairs of Teeja festival trains also

South East Central Railway will operate 2 pairs of Teeja Festival Fast MEMU trains keeping in mind the convenience of women passengers on Teeja festival. These trains will run between Raipur-Anuppur-Raipur and Raipur-Tadoki-Raipur. Train number 06803/06804 Raipur-Anuppur-Raipur Teeja Festival Fast MEMU will run on 24 and 28 August and train number 06805/06806 Raipur-Tadoki-Raipur Teeja Festival Fast MEMU will run on 25 and 29 August.

Festival Special Train

Railways is running Festival Special train number 08760 and 08761 between Durg-Nizamuddin. This train will run for 8 trips from Durg every Sunday from 5 October to 23 November and from Nizamuddin every Monday from 6 October to 24 November with 20 LHB coaches of all classes. The timetable of these trains has also been released.
