Cartoonist Hemant Malviya Faces FIR for Controversial Cartoon
Renowned cartoonist Hemant Malviya lands in trouble as an FIR is filed in Indore over a controversial cartoon allegedly criticizing RSS and PM Modi, sparking debates on freedom of expression.
Another case has been registered against cartoonist Hemant Malviya for a controversial post on social media in the city. Lasudiya police station has registered an FIR against him after the objectionable cartoon made about RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This action has been taken on the complaint of an RSS worker. On the complaint of Sudama Nagar resident Vinay Joshi, Lasudiya police station has registered a crime under sections 196, 299, 302, 352, 353 (2) BNS and 67 (A) IT act.
It is being told that the cartoon had an objectionable message about the image of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Prime Minister, which also created a ruckus on social media. Hemant Malviya has been in controversies before as well. A case has already been registered against him for the post made about PM Modi's mother. Apart from this, Baba Ramdev had also filed an FIR against him in Kankhal police station of Haridwar. At present, the police has registered a case and started investigation. The cyber cell is also investigating the authenticity and purpose of the post.
