CM to Launch Sugam Parivahan Seva from Indore

CM Sugam Transport Service will start from Indore, the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh. It will start from Diwali. In the review meeting of Government Public Transport Service in Madhya Pradesh, there was a discussion on starting bus service from Indore. The Chief Minister gave instructions in the meeting.
Strict adherence to the rules of transport service
CM Dr. Mohan said - Special attention should be given to the facilities of passengers and affordable fares in the transport service. Work on electric vehicles and related infrastructure should be encouraged. The rules of transport service should be strictly followed. The names of cities and villages should be compulsorily displayed on the front glass of buses. The names of villages and towns should also be compulsorily written on the bus stops.
Transport service in MP at a glance
It was told in the meeting that 16 lakh 60 thousand vehicles have been registered this year. In this, more than 2 lakh 58 thousand electric vehicles have been registered. The number of on-road vehicles in the state is close to one crore 80 lakh. The revenue income obtained from transport is continuously increasing. In 2024-25, revenue income of Rs 4,874 crore was generated. It has increased by about 6 percent as compared to last year.
Notification for handing over the authority will be issued soon
Measures to increase revenue were also discussed in the meeting. It was told in the meeting that a notification will be issued soon to hand over the authority of the amount received from the challan especially in revenue collection to the head constable. In the meeting, there was also a discussion about running an awareness campaign among the citizens so that maximum eligible persons get the benefit of Cashless Treatment Scheme, Rahveer Scheme.
