Bomb Threat at Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj Airport: Panic After Email Alert, Police Begin Investigation

An email warning of a bomb at Bhopal's Raja Bhoj Airport caused panic today. Security agencies and police swiftly launched an investigation, with search operations underway to ensure safety.
Raja Bhoj International Airport in the capital Bhopal has once again been in a state of panic after receiving a bomb threat. This threat was sent to the airport director through an email, claiming that explosive devices have been installed in the airport premises and the airport can be blown up by detonation at any time. This threatening email immediately put the airport administration and security agencies on alert mode.
Police engaged in investigation
On receiving the information, the airport management lodged a complaint at Gandhinagar police station in Bhopal. Gandhinagar police have registered a case of criminal intimidation against the unknown accused under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and aviation security rules. Bomb disposal squad and dog squad were immediately called to the spot, and a thorough search was conducted of the entire airport premises, terminal, baggage area and surrounding areas.
