Brutal Assault on Highway in Morena: Man Dragged and Beaten With Sticks; Video Surfaces

 The victim has been identified as Shubham Gurjar, while one of the attackers, Devendra alias Geetaram Gurjar, reportedly sustained a bullet injury during the scuffle. He was later referred to Delhi in critical condition.

According to police, the violent incident took place on October 21 near Devpuri under the jurisdiction of Sarai Chola Police Station. An FIR has been registered against five individuals, including Shubham, under charges of attempt to murder.

The viral video, reportedly recorded by the victim’s relatives, shows Shubham being pulled out of his Swift car and beaten mercilessly by Devendra and his associates. Shubham’s friends managed to flee the scene, while he was seen pleading with folded hands, begging to be spared. Despite his cries for help, the attackers continued to thrash him, tearing his shirt and dragging him along the highway.

Shubham suffered a fractured leg before local residents intervened and rescued him. The footage also shows Devendra hitting another man who claimed to be merely the car driver and was later let go.

Police are investigating the case, and both parties are under scrutiny as tensions remain high in the area.
