CM Dr. Mohan on 90° Overbridge: Faults First, Then Inauguration

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan issued a strong statement regarding the controversial 90-degree overbridge, confirming that the inauguration will only take place after resolving technical flaws.

CM Dr Mohan Yadav's big statement has come out regarding the overbridge built in the capital of Madhya Pradesh. He said that the technical fault in the construction work of Ashbagh ROB will be rectified. This work has started. At the same time, the Chief Minister said that the people responsible for the technical fault will be identified and action will be taken.

CM Dr Mohan Yadav has said this in the Loktantra Senani Sammelan organized at the Chief Minister's residence. He said that the work of rectifying the technical fault in the construction work of Ashbagh ROB has been started. The ROB will be inaugurated only after removing the technical fault.

In fact, the overbridge built in Ashbagh, Bhopal came into the headlines due to its strange 90 degree turn. This bridge, built at a cost of 18 crores, was given the status of 'Nayab Namkeen'. Its blind turn can prove to be a major accident zone or black spot in future. In view of this, work is being done to fix the technical fault in its construction work.

It is worth noting that the construction work of Bhopal's Aishbagh Railway Overbridge (ROB) started on 21 May 2022. This project is running about 1 year behind its deadline. The construction of the bridge costing Rs 17 crore 37 lakh was to be completed in August 2024. But the process of building it is still going on in June 2025. The length of the 90-degree bridge is 648 meters and the width is 8 meters.
