Indore’s Umrikheda Adventure Park Opens for 24-Hour Forest Stays at ₹350 per Person

Nature enthusiasts in Indore can now spend the night in the wilderness, with Umrikheda Adventure Park launching round-the-clock stay packages for the first time. Located on the Indore–Khandwa Road, the eco-adventure destination has introduced tent accommodations and night safaris, offering visitors an immersive forest experience just 8 km from Bhanwarkua.

The Forest Department has set up dedicated tent zones powered by a newly installed 2 kW solar plant, ensuring uninterrupted electricity after dark. Officials say the upgrade addressed long-standing safety concerns and cleared the way for the park’s night-stay rollout. The park currently draws 250–300 visitors on Sundays, a number expected to increase with the new offering.

Visitors can book stays online or offline, with prices ranging from ₹750 to ₹3,100 depending on the facilities selected. A special group package priced at ₹350 per person covers entry, parking, two breakfasts, and one meal for groups of 10–12. The site can also be booked for birthday celebrations, pre-wedding shoots, and small gatherings, provided guests follow eco-friendly norms.

Spread across 190 hectares, Umrikheda has undergone more than ₹50 lakh in development work to enhance its adventure and leisure options. Seating areas, swings, and designated photo points have been added, while forest officials maintain strict environmental guidelines for all activities.

Looking ahead, the department has drafted a ₹7 crore expansion proposal that includes 15 cottages, 15 Swiss tents, 20 standard tents, an adventure zone, children’s park, herbal garden, watchtower, and an open-air theatre. Plans also include cycling and trekking trails, landscaping, a lotus pond, and upgraded solar infrastructure, alongside a café and restaurant.

If approved, the expansion is expected to position Umrikheda as one of Madhya Pradesh’s leading eco-tourism hubs, combining sustainable tourism with family-friendly outdoor recreation.
