The agitated activists also argued with the police, demanding action. The police have assured action. The young man, identified as Mazhar Khan, is a gym trainer. He had taken a Hindu girl to a hotel in the Habibganj area, hiding his identity.

According to information, he had given his name as Bunty instead of Mazhar at the hotel. When Hindu organizations received the news, a large number of activists reached the hotel. They caught the young man and beat him up. Meanwhile, upon receiving information, the police arrived at the spot and took the young man into custody to the police station.

Habibganj police station in-charge Sanjeev Choukse said that the youth is being interrogated. A female officer is also talking to the girl. Her family has been informed. Further legal action will be taken as per the girl's statement.
