PWD Clerk Caught Taking Bribe in Lokayukta Raid

Lokayukta team caught a PWD department clerk red-handed while taking a bribe. He had demanded ₹12,000 from a contractor to get official work done.

Lokayukta raided the Narmadapuram Public Works Department (PWD) in Madhya Pradesh. During this, the clerk was arrested red handed while taking bribe. It is being told that the clerk had demanded a bribe of 12 thousand from a contractor. At present, the Lokayukta team is engaged in further action.

Lokayukta raided the Narmadapuram Public Works Department on Thursday. Where clerk Pawan Saxena was arrested red handed while taking a bribe of 7 thousand rupees. Clerk Pawan Saxena was demanding money from the contractor. The contractor had complained about this to the Lokayukta police. After verifying the complaint, the raid was conducted.

Clerk Pawan Saxena had demanded 12 thousand rupees from the contractor in lieu of returning the FD deposited in the department during road construction and the refund of the amount. Pawan Saxena had taken the first installment of the bribe of 5 thousand rupees. Today, Lokayukta caught him red handed while taking the second installment of 7 thousand rupees. At present, the Lokayukta team is busy taking action against the clerk under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
