 19,000 PM Swanidhi Yojana Cases Pending in MP; CS Expresses Displeasure

In Madhya Pradesh, around 19,000 cases under the PM Swanidhi Yojana remain pending. The Chief Secretary expressed strong displeasure over the delay, and notices are set to be issued to negligent bank managers.

More than 19 thousand cases of the much-awaited PM Swanidhi scheme of the Central Government are pending in Madhya Pradesh. The government has taken this matter seriously. A notice will be issued regarding the matter. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has expressed displeasure over the cases of PM Sammant Yojana. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to issue notices to the concerned bank managers. Instructions have been given to resolve all pending cases within 15 days.

What is PM Swanidhi Yojana

PM Swanidhi Yojana, also known as Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidhi, is a micro-credit scheme that provides working capital loan up to Rs 10,000 to street vendors in urban and rural areas. The scheme was launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on June 1, 2020, to help street vendors affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic to restart their business.
