7 Special Remedies to Receive Saturn’s Blessings and Remove Obstacles from Life

Saturday is considered a day dedicated to Lord Shani. Known as the deity of justice, Shani gives results based on one’s actions. When Saturn is unfavorable in a person’s horoscope, it may lead to obstacles, financial difficulties, health issues, and mental stress. Performing a few simple and effective remedies on Saturdays is believed to attract Shani’s blessings and bring stability to life.

1. Worship the Peepal Tree

After sunrise on Saturday, offer water to the Peepal tree and light a lamp. Chant the mantra “Om Sham Shanaiścharāya Namah” at least 11 times. This helps reduce Saturn-related troubles and enhances positive energy at home.

2. Light a Mustard Oil Lamp

Lighting a mustard oil lamp in a Shani temple or under a Peepal tree in the evening is considered highly auspicious. This remedy is believed to provide immediate relief and remove obstacles.

3. Donate Black Sesame and Urad Dal

Donating black sesame seeds, urad dal, black cloth, or iron items on Saturday is said to appease Saturn. This remedy is especially effective during Shani’s Sade Sati or Dhaiyya period.

4. Feed the Poor

Feeding the needy is regarded as one of the noblest ways to please Lord Shani. It increases merit and promotes prosperity in the family. Feeding black chickpeas or khichdi is considered particularly auspicious.

5. Chant the Shani Mantra

Chant the following mantra at least 108 times on Saturday:
“Om Sham Shanaiścharāya Namah”
This helps calm the mind, reduce planetary afflictions, and accelerate stalled work.

6. Avoid Buying Leather Items

According to astrology, one should avoid purchasing leather, oil, or iron items on Saturdays. Doing so may invite unnecessary expenses, disputes, or losses.

7. Offer Neelam or an Iron Ring in a Shani Temple

If Saturn is strong in the horoscope or if a Rahu–Shani combination is causing difficulties, offering a blue sapphire or an iron ring in a Shani temple is considered auspicious. It is believed to reduce mental stress and improve success in work.
