Darasing Khurana on Harnaaz Sandhu and Simrat Kaur’s Box Office Face-Off: “A Moment of Happiness and Nostalgia”
Bollywood News
Actor and Commonwealth Global Youth Ambassador Darasing Khurana has expressed heartfelt nostalgia as two of his debut co-stars — Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu and Simrat Kaur — gear up for the release of their new films, coincidentally hitting theaters on the same day.
The trio first shared the screen in 2022 with Smeep Kang’s Punjabi action-comedy Bai Ji Kuttange. The project marked significant milestones for all three: it was Khurana’s acting debut following his Mr. India International title, Harnaaz Sandhu’s first on-screen role before she went on to win Miss Universe 2021, and another successful outing for Simrat Kaur, who was already establishing herself in South Indian cinema. The film also featured veterans like Dev Kharoud, Upasana Singh, and Gurpreet Ghuggi.
Since then, their career paths have diverged. Harnaaz Sandhu is making her Bollywood debut in the high-octane action franchise Bhaaghi 4, starring alongside Tiger Shroff and Sonam Bajwa. Simrat Kaur, meanwhile, is preparing for the release of The Bengal Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, a film that has already generated strong buzz.
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Khurana wrote:
“It’s a moment of happiness and nostalgia. Having worked with both Harnaaz and Simrat at the beginning of their journeys, it’s incredible to now see them shine so brightly. I wish them nothing but success and happiness as they step into this exciting new chapter. May their hard work continue to inspire many.”
While Harnaaz and Simrat are captivating audiences on the silver screen, Khurana himself has shifted focus beyond cinema. As the Commonwealth Global Youth Ambassador, he is now deeply engaged in international policymaking and advocacy, representing youth voices at a global level.
