IDBI Bank Begins Recruitment for 31 Specialist Officer Posts; Online Applications Open Till July 26

The Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI Bank) has started the recruitment process for 31 Specialist Officer (SO) posts for the 2026–27 financial year, inviting applications from experienced professionals across multiple functional areas.
According to the official notification, the online application window opened on July 14 and will remain active until July 26, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the bank's official careers portal.
The recruitment drive covers vacancies for the posts of Manager (Grade B), Assistant General Manager (Grade C) and Deputy General Manager (Grade D). The positions are available in specialised departments, including Audit (Information System), Infrastructure Management, Legal and Security. A total of 31 vacancies have been announced across these disciplines.
IDBI Bank has specified that the recruitment is intended for experienced professionals. Apart from the required educational qualifications, applicants must possess relevant post-qualification work experience in the respective domain. The detailed eligibility criteria vary according to the post and department.
As per the notification, the cut-off date for determining age, educational qualification and work experience is July 1, 2026. The minimum age prescribed is 25 years, while the upper age limit ranges up to 45 years, depending on the post. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to reserved category candidates in accordance with Government of India guidelines.
The educational qualifications differ across disciplines. Candidates applying for technology-related roles must possess qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech or equivalent, while legal positions require an LLB degree. Certain posts also require professional certifications and relevant industry experience as outlined in the notification.
The application fee has been fixed at ₹1,050 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories. Applicants from the SC, ST and PwBD categories are required to pay ₹250. The fee can be paid online using debit cards, credit cards, net banking or other approved digital payment methods.
Unlike recruitment examinations conducted through written competitive tests, the IDBI Specialist Officer selection process will primarily involve preliminary screening of applications, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) for shortlisted candidates. The bank has clarified that meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee selection for the interview stage.
Candidates have been advised to carefully verify all eligibility conditions before submitting the online application. They should upload the prescribed documents, including educational certificates, work experience proofs and identity documents, in the specified format. Any discrepancy during document verification may result in cancellation of candidature.
