Nikhil Swami brings more than six years of rich experience in crafting and executing integrated communication strategies for government and public-sector entities. In his new role, he will spearhead IIT Ropar’s strategic communication and public relations efforts to further strengthen the institute’s reputation as a centre of academic and research excellence.

Prior to this, Swami served as Assistant Manager – Corporate Communications at NBCC (India) Limited, where he led comprehensive 360-degree communication campaigns across print, digital, and social media platforms. Earlier, at NTPC Limited, he held the position of Corporate Communications Executive, managing internal and external communication, proactive media relations, and crisis communication initiatives.

Swami is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Delhi, where he earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, and holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Kurukshetra University.
