CAP Round 2 Choice Filling Starts August 7
Following the publication of the vacant seat list, the CET Cell will open the online option form submission and confirmation window from August 7 to August 9, 2026.
During this period, candidates must log in to their counselling accounts, fill in their preferred colleges and courses, and lock their choices before the deadline.
Seat Allotment Result on August 12
The provisional seat allotment result for CAP Round 2 will be announced on August 12, 2026.
Candidates who receive a seat allotment can check their result online using their login credentials and decide whether to accept the allotted seat.
Seat Acceptance Process
Students allotted a seat in Round 2 must complete the online seat acceptance process between August 13 and August 17, 2026.
Candidates receiving a seat for the first time in CAP Round 2 will be required to pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee through the online portal.
Applicants who are allotted one of their top three preferred choices will have their admission automatically frozen (Auto-Freeze) after accepting the seat. Such candidates will not be eligible to participate in any further counselling rounds.
Institute Reporting
After accepting the allotted seat online, candidates must report to their allotted institute between August 13 and August 17, 2026, carrying all required original documents for admission verification.
